Road surface smoothness is an important index for evaluating road conditions, which directly affects the driving quality of vehicles on the road and the full play of road economic and social benefits.

The road paver machine is one of the special construction machinery for pavement. Its function is to spread the mixed hot-mix asphalt concrete mixture on the pavement base to form the asphalt concrete surface layer (that is, the road surface). The paver can accurately ensure the paving layer. Thickness, width, pavement camber, flatness, compactness.

There are many factors affecting the smoothness of asphalt pavement: the compaction and smoothness of the roadbed, base, sub-base and cushion, the quality of raw materials and mixtures, the quality of construction personnel, construction technology and mechanical configuration, etc. Now, we will analyze the influence of rubber paving machine on pavement smoothness during construction.

(1) The effect of the performance of the running track paver machine on the smoothness of the road surface. The paver is the leading machine in the construction of asphalt concrete pavement, and its own performance has a great influence on the quality of the pavement construction.

(2) Improper adjustment of the technical parameters of the rubber paving machine:

①The width of the screed of the paver is asymmetrical, not on the same plane. When the width of the screed is asymmetrical with the machine itself after the combination, the paver is easy to deviate during driving, and the front and rear of the screed are caused by the inertia of the mixture. The pressure of the mixture is inconsistent, resulting in differences in the thickness of the paving on the cross section;
② When the paving thickness of the road paver machine is large, the aggregate particle size is relatively large and the required compactness is high, if the position of the screw distributor and the leading edge of the screed is too small, the actual paving thickness cannot be satisfied, and the paving There are ripples in the layer, and the smoothness of the road surface decreases;
③ When the paver is paving the thin upper layer, the high frequency of the vibrator will cause the resonance of the screed, thus affecting the flatness.

(3) The road paver machine speed of the paver

In the process of paving asphalt mixture, the paving speed is arbitrarily changed, so that the speed of paving is uneven, resulting in uneven ups and downs of the floating screed, and the compactness of the paving layer cannot be constant, thus causing the local thickness of the paving surface to change. It affects the smoothness of the pavement after paving. In addition, the paver stops frequently and the downtime is too long. The hot mixture of the loose layer will sink slightly under the self-weight of the screed device, especially the ratio of oil to stone of the mixture is too large. , When the temperature is too high and the gradation is too fine, this phenomenon is more prominent, causing steps on the paving surface and affecting the smoothness of the road surface.

(4) Incorrect operation of the rubber paving machine

①Before preparing for paving, all mechanical parts must be carefully checked, especially when the screed is heated, and the temperature is too high.
③ During the operation, because the paver hand does not work according to the operating procedures and the technical level is low, when correcting the forward direction, the operation is too violent, which will cause bumps on the road surface and make the road surface uneven;
③ The mixture scattered in front of the rubber paving machine is not removed in time, which affects the overall grounding elevation of the paver, resulting in changes in the thickness of the paving, which affects the smoothness and cross slope of the road;
④The brake of the pushed material is too tight, which increases the load of the paver and affects the stability of the driving speed. In addition, if a truck goes backwards and hits the paver, the fuselage is suddenly loaded, and the instantaneous speed is slowed down. Some even collide and shift the paver, and the paving layer forms fluctuations or "washboards".
